One of our customers Mark Rowlands, based in Aberystwyth on the north coast of Wales, recently got in touch with us to let us know how is Humbolt Forage Rye crops was doing. This was sown late September 2021 as a nursing crop, to help bring through the Italian Ryegrass.
He has just ensiled this, and whilst he considers it a bit of an experiment he is impressed with the yield and the under-sown IRG. He’s just waiting for a little rain to help move it on.
Mark commented that “If this feeds well, it’s certainly something that we will wish to repeat”
